I can watch that winning goal all day all the time.
I agree on the value that It shouldn't be that high more of a 3 mil a season. The length should probably be a year less IMO. |

You could make a case for it being 5 instead of 6 for sure. Probably would have been asking for a higher cap hit per though if that were the case. The art of negotiating. |

Can someone give me the cliff notes version of this blog.
Was Martinez paid too much or is it a great signing? Thx |

Up in the air, could go either way.
I'm not against the signing, especially if Voynov doesn't come back, giving us more room.

I watched the Flyers' defense last night versus the Ducks. Anyone on the fence about this signing and the need for quality, depth defensemen should watch that game. |

I like Amart. He deserves it. He should be paired with DD. DD is being screwed being with Muzzin as a top 2 D. If DD played with Amart or the likes of anyone like Suter or a Duncan Keith....DD would by far shine even more than he has. He is covering for the most mistake prone idiot D the Kings have. I am not sure what the coaches are seeing in him, and I don't care about all this statistical bs that peeps keep claiming about him, real hockey player fans know he is a big liability. I think with this signing, Kings trade Muzzin. Muzzin did not deserve that contract anyways, he is a 5th/6th D at best. I like Reghers toughness but hes slow and this is his last season on the Kings. I like Greenes leadership and toughness but hes slow and shows up some games and doesn't show in others. McNabb & McBain have done decent, I like them getn betr by the day and they are youth. IF the Voynov thang gets ironed out, that would help out big time. With the awesome D in the Kings system, this makes me think some of our D will be moved by deadline pending Voynov and many issues of the teams record at that time.
Send Muzzin packing. This is my opinion, so chill out hbuzzpeeps. Thx |

This deal is OK, a little on the high side, but he's earned it. It would be hard to let the guy walk after scoring the Chicago goal and the Finals goal. As far as this year is concerned almost every player on the team isn't doing to good so far. That will change, hopefully sooner rather than later, but I think this Kings team like's messing with it's fanbase, Thank God, we have Quick and Jones. They have been amazing. |

For some sadistic reason I watched that video. Six months later, it's still like getting kicked in the stones with an iron boot. |

its not just who else is making 4mm as a comparable, but when they signed that deal too. 4mm for a top 4 (if he's that) isn't horrific in today's market. i'm sure there will be massive overbuying in the UFA market for D this summer. |

Solid deal. The term makes this either great or terrible depending on how Martinez continues to play. As long he keeps up at least his current level of play I say its a good/great deal. |

Great signing by Lombardi! Martinez in my view was passing Voynov as the 3rd D on the team. They all have bad games. Look at Muzzin's game against the Bruins, he was brutal. - arh777
Well considering that Lombardi & management view Voynov as the 2nd best defenseman on this team... and actually came out and said he is in the top 30 in the league... all I have to say about your opinion is....

So what you want is 6 Drew Doughty's? Or wait, if Doughty is so getting screwed by being paired with Muzzin, why is it that Doughty was the one who practically demanded the pairing last year and speaks glowingly of the pairing in interviews this year? Cuz Doughty is stupid? Or maybe it's someone else that just does not get it. This opinion sounds like October 2013, not December 2014.

Yeah, all kinds of crazy here. Muzzin is top-4, possibly top-2. Why in the hell do you think the Kings are so tight on the back end? He's part of the reason. Muzzin is not the problem.
